Hello All:

As you know (if you've been reading the meeting minutes), we have been
putting together a new system for reporting and tracking issues in the
Specifications. Our goals were to have a system that not only gathered and
stored reports (like the Aardvark of today) but made those reports visible
to and searchable by the community, as well as allowing for visibility
into the status of any given issue. We now think that we have our new
system ready for "live" use. We hope this new "Bugzilla-style" system
will meet everyone's needs.

THE NEW SYSTEM CAN BE ACCESSED AT:
        http://austingroupbugs.net/

You will need to register to use the system, you don't have to provide
much more than a user name and live email address.

This tool will send notifications to austin-group-l (just as the classic
aardvark did) upon creation of new reports, and also when notes or other
changes in status are made to an existing report. I'm sure that we will
have to tune the traffic it generates, but for right now we are going for
more information, rather than less.

PLEASE keep primary discussion of issues concerning the Specifications on
the Mail List, as we do now. Add notes to a Bug only for cogent and
specific information.

ALSO NOTE that for the next week we will be adding all the current
Aardvark issues (the ones already reported into the old tool) into the new
tool. This will cause a surge of email to the list, but this is only
temporary.

We are still shaking some things out, be sure to report any bugs (or make
suggestions) in the "Aardvark Bugs" Project.

cheers,
Mark
