Problem:
Edition of Specification (Year): 2003
Defect code : 3. Clarification required
Under RETURN VALUE, it states, "Upon successful completion, asctime() shall
return a pointer to the string." The phrase "Upon successful completion"
implies that unsuccessful completion is possible, in which case it should state
what it returns. If successful completion is the only possibility, the phrase
should be dropped, as it's confusing.
Action:
As above, depending on the intended meaning.
