Anti-spam idiocies

I just received the following message.

For the record, I am *not* going to click on some random link nor spend
time justifying why I "[wish] to send e-mail". Is this sort of thing viewed
as acceptable on Austin Group lists? It certainly isn't accepted on the
anti-spam lists I'm on.
