@ page 373 line 13189 section sys_utsname.h objection {implspec}
Problem:
Edition of Specification (Year): 2003
Defect code : 1. Error
The text describes the char nodename[] member as
"Name of this node within an implementation-defined communications
network."
This will require the PCD to document the network characteristics.
I could understand, an "implementation-defined Name of this node within...".
The wording changed between 1990/1996 edition and the present edition,
previously the term implementation-specified, which was a non term.
This would seem to make better sense here to be an "unspecified communications
network"
that is we are not specifying here what that network is.
A corresponding change will also be needed in XSH p1557, line 48072.
Action:
Change "implementation-defined" to "unspecified"
