Problem:

Edition of Specification (Year): 2003

Defect code :  3. Clarification required

The application-usage uses the term "implementation-defined"
in 

"Catching the signal is intended to provide the application writer with a 
portable means to abort processing, free from possible interference from any 
implementation-defined functions."

I do not think this is inline with the terminology definition 
and would be better rephrased as "any implementation-provided functions"
perhaps?
