The second paragraph is unclear about what the "string" is. I assume its
the string pointed to by the "path" argument.

It should be more clearly stated.

Action:


Change from:

"If the string consists entirely of the '/' character"

To:

"If the string pointed to by /path/ consists entirely of the '/' character..."

Change from:

"If the string is exactly "//", it is ...."

To:

"If the string pointed to by /path/ is exactly "//", it is..."
