The Open Group Architecture Principles

A Case Study prepared by Darren Hawley on behalf of The Open Group Internal Architecture Board

This Case Study defines the set of architecture principles that The Open Group Internal Architecture Board developed in undertaking its enterprise architecture. The purpose of this Case Study is to provide an example to the TOGAF™ community of this part of the Preliminary phase of TOGAF development. It is an example of how one enterprise – The Open Group – has used them, and broadly covers:

  • How did The Open Group develop the principles?
  • How did The Open Group apply the principles?
  • How did The Open Group comply with the principles?
