In this presentation we will discuss how our Strategy and Enterprise Architecture group has brought together Technology Investment Planning and Innovation Process to create an actionable Technology Roadmap across multiple business areas. We will share artifacts created for: Investment Planning, Innovation Process, Technology Investment Roadmaps. We will discuss how IT and business achieved alignment, and will show a specific example around smart grid and IT/OT architecture to support specific business goals.

Jerry Casarella is an Enterprise Architect at NJ's largest utility company, PSEG, where he has worked on a variety of large-scale IT projects as a lead architect, including several large scale Smart grid and mobile initiatives. Jerry has formulated and implemented strategic Information Technology plans and Enterprise Information Architectures for multi-billion dollar business units and has worked closely with business executives to align business strategies, IT plans and architecture. He has a B.S in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Rutgers University. Jerry is a Faculty Advisor at Rutgers University, and a member of NJIT’s College of Computing Science Board of Advisors.
