If your company is a member of The Open Group:

Privileged Access
Some areas of The Open Group Web site require you to be a formal representative nominated by your company.  Access at this level requires a username and password assigned by The Open Group. If you have forgotten your password, request a reminder. If you feel you need (and are entitled) to such access, please email  webmaster@opengroup.org explaining your requirements

Normal Access
Register yourself as an employee of a member company of The Open Group to gain access to the majority of protected pages. 

Note that you should register yourself as an employee of a member company prior to registering for attendance at an Open Group Conference. 

If your company is NOT a member of The Open Group:

Register your details

• as the first step in registering for an Open Group conference
• for the free alerting service
• if you need a password for any other reason

On the other hand, you might like to consider becoming a member of The Open Group
