Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)
BART light rail train service runs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
From San Francisco International Airport (SFO), BART is a fast, convenient way to go. It also costs less than shuttles, taxis, rental cars or driving and parking. The trip from SF International Airport to downtown San Francisco (BART Montgomery Station) takes about 30 minutes and costs $8.10. You can exit BART at Montgomery Station and walk across the street to hail a taxi at the 2nd Street entrance of the Palace Hotel. The Mark Hopkins Hotel is located about 9 blocks from BART Montgomery Station and is a 5 minute taxi ride (depending on traffic).

Parking: The hotel does not have onsite parking and valet parking costs around $55+ a day to park near the hotel.
