Recent market analysis shows that Business innovation can be accelerated through digitalization of its services to provide better customer experience. Successful Digital Transformations require new ways of integratingcustomer, business and IT teams. IT is challenged to meet this demand through continuous innovation. This in turn needs new models of delivering the products and features to end-users as quickly as possible. DevOps is a new age way of continuous software delivery. It brings together two facets of IT a.k.a Dev and Ops together to help achieve the objective of continuously reaching the end-users through required IT applications.

Enterprise Architects are ever more challenged now to develop DevOps based IT capability framework that can support closer integration with Business and end-user needs.

In general, Enterprise Architects are ultimately responsible for the enterprise delivery of DevOps blueprint which conform to enterprise standards and strategies. DevOps blueprint is a strategic asset based on a capability framework with cross-functional capabilities.

Basic Principles to blueprint DevOps to bring digitalization:
1. Connect with customer to enhance customer experience
2. Industrialization of IT Value services through efficient software delivery cycle
3. Flexible platform for innovation
4. Adopt cloud, Embrace Mobility and have better social connect.

The capability framework should encompass the current and future needs of the enterprise based on the above principals. The framework connects across functionality from envision stage to execute stage. It encourages collaboration and opportunity to improve in continuous fashion.

This presentation will discuss the need for such capability framework that supports Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver IT value services in a
continuous fashion.

He has more than 15 years of industry experience in DevOps, IT  Automation consulting / implementation, Enterprise Architecture, ITSM  Processes & Tools consulting / implementation, IT Governance, Software  Product Management, Quality Assurance & Audit. He has helped global organizations to design and implement their IT Infrastructure and Transformation strategies. He has had opportunity to manage programs around Infrastructure and Services Automation, & ISO20000 implementation. Prior to joining Infosys, he has worked for Fidelity Investments, USA and Amber Road.  He is a PMP, Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Lead Auditor ISO27001, ITIL v3 Expert certified, 6 Sigma Green Belt. He is an Engineer and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management.

Saravanan Pitchaimani is a DevOps consultant working for the Infrastructure transformation consulting practice at Infosys Limited. He has 13+ years of IT experience in development, testing and automation implementations.
